HubTech is a young, innovative company developing an advanced mechatronic product for (among others) cycling. Our patented Kinetic Air Pressure System (KAPS) makes it possible to adjust tire pressure at all times while riding and is completely wireless.
We market KAPS ourselves under the brand name GRAVAA and partner with a number of well-known global manufacturers and brands in the bicycle industry. We also work together with World Tour Team Jumbo-Visma for this purpose.
To reinforce our team, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic, all-round Senior Embedded Software Engineer who, together with our team and in collaboration with a few national and international development partners, will contribute to a successful market introduction and further roll-out of KAPS.
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at HubTech, you will be responsible for the software of our product and future products. In a broad sense, this focuses on the (further) development of (new) software, testing and documenting this, with everything aimed at making partially existing software ready for a high-quality end product. You design, implement and test embedded driver and control software on the hardware components of our systems. Understanding of electronics and associated test equipment is desired. For KAPS control software testing, you will work closely with System engineering to support the development of test tools and “Proof of Concept” setups. This involves the use of HIL systems in combination with MATLAB/Simulink software.
Our hub technology communicates wirelessly with the outside world using BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). We use nRF52840 SoC for this purpose. Each system consists of a front and rear hub, control unit, and one or more displays. In addition, settings can be made through a proprietary smartphone App. Knowledge of such low-power software architectures is a must. Additional knowledge of ANT(+) protocols/interfaces is certainly a plus, but not a requirement. The same applies to cloud IoT solutions, with which we can, for example, perform remote diagnostics and configuration changes.
You will be the technical point of contact especially for the (embedded) software related aspects of development, both internally and to development partners and/or suppliers involved. You will also take care of preparing the necessary software specifications, design documentation and the transfer of knowledge and development data from our development partners to HubTech.
Are you this all-round, flexible and independently working soNware engineer, who likes a pragmatic approach, but also works in a structured and professional way, and would you like to be part of a small, driven and multidisciplinary team, working on a groundbreaking technology for cycling? And do you have:
– At least a completed college degree in ICT / electrical engineering / embedded systems or
– Several years of working experience in the development of (mechatronic) systems is a plus
– Programming experience for embedded systems in C/C++
– Experience with development tools for Nordic chipsets is a plus
– Knowledge of software architectures
– Knowledge of BLE 5.X and ANT protocols/interfaces is an advantage
– Experience with Gtest or similar is an advantage
– Experience with creating hardware drivers is an advantage.
– A good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written, is a plus
What do we offer?
We offer you a pleasant informal working atmosphere within a small and driven team, where independence and own initiative are appreciated and where you can further develop yourself all round.
You will earn a competitive salary with good primary and secondary benefits. Normal working hours are 40 hours per week, 36 or 32 hours per week is negotiable.
